Republicans only believe in Climate Change and Democrats realize that there is NO difference between Climate Change and Global Warming,

They call it climate change because they believe adding greenhouse gases to the air will cause weather to become more chaotic.Yes, they are predicting greater unpredictability. If they’re wrong, that just proves them right.

Thing is climate has always been changing that is how we got here. Just give a hoot and try not to pollute. We have a long way to go but we have come a long way since I was a kid. I can remember going outside in the winter and all you could smell and see was coal being burned for heating of homes.

problem is religious people don’t believe in climate change. because, their holy book says god will take of it.

Actually, it was called climate change from the point it first got traction. The IPCC is the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. As a life-long techie and career scientist I tend to use belief in “global warming” as a gauge of technical acumen when I am talking to new people – if they are believers I smile and nod when they talk about technical subjects. I’ve seen a lot of weird ideas come and go.

Hmmm … what HAS been the temperature range between the many ice ages the earth has experienced? And what IS the “right” temperature for the earth? I grew up during the “oh, the next ice age is coming” panic. Color me a skeptic about any model that doesn’t take the variable sun and magnetic field of the earth into account.

Turtle ribs form part of the shell in real lifeThe change in term is because too many people just did NOT get that global warming does not mean that all parts get warmer, but that TAKEN AS A WHOLE the globe is warmer. So, same thing but a term used now that is more comprehensible to a wider range of educational backgrounds…That increase in energy, since heat is energy, fuels worse storms and can shift both water and air currents. The result is that some areas can get cooler as their local climate shifts but overall places get warmer. Too much shift and as Hammy might put it, we will wind up in really big do- do. The increase in CO2 is human activity related (so recall that after bad storms), and as tundra melts with this CO2 level increase that also naturally causes the release of methane which is an even worse warming gas, as well as other changes. Increased levels of CO2 are also physically harder on some life forms. Some of that is direct, but there are indirect effects, too, like decreased protein and trace mineral levels in some tested food plants.

It was called Climate Change first, but I believe it was Al Gore who started calling it Global Warming, I guess to make it sound more serious.

Because once real people see through the complete and total lack of science, the alarmists change the name to keep everyone guessing so they can try to control you.

I am in favor of global warming/climate change, and believe we should do all we can to accelerate it. Our weather has been better both summer and winter in Atlanta. I kinda miss the hurricanes, though.
