    I once had a problem that had always been a bovine disease & only recently, humans were tested for it!!! the Dr said I was lucky, with the right antibiotic it cleared up in no-time!

    No, he shouldn’t be wearing pants. He and the strip were designed to be as simplistic as possible. In the early strips (starting late June 1971) you could often barely tell if he was even wearing a shirt. His design was very simplistic, black and white, minimal backgrounds or accessories. Maybe a tie, a robe, rain hat and umbrella. Only what was needed for the gag, nothing else. The simplicity of Ziggy, emphasizing, his loneliness is what the comic was all about. Putting him in pants and shoes changes the whole dynamic of the comic and makes it something else. Let’s just change his name to Fred and have a whole new comic.
