I think it’s not getting married that has Alix upset, but going back to Africa.

I wonder what changed with Grandma. A while back he wanted them to get together, but she demurred. Is she having some sort of “better do it while I can” crisis? or has he improved in her opinion in the interim? Still annoyed that he hasn’t taken the time or doesn’t want to visit her in the States. Sounds like a very self-centered individual.

Gramma might take Alix with her to “Seth Efrica” (i put the local accent on to it) :)

Why can’t Gramma and Arnold relocate to the States? That’s what makes most sense. I’m not keen on this thread either…it’s kinda disturbing.

Why on earth would anyone leave the nature preserve and move to suburbia. Alix, just think of what you could be part of when you grow up.

On the bright side, now Alix can visit the elephants in South Africa when she comes to visit Evie.
