Clearly, a single incident of an inclement weather, or even a couple of incidents, or even an extended period of such weather over a portion of the Globe, is no indication of long a term trend, as it maybe an aberration … off-graph.

It can be argued that such an abnormality is caused by a deviation of jet stream - careening the precipitation that normally would be deposited on Canada, Alaska, Greenland and the Arctic, to the lower stratas of the Globe, though there is no evidence of a corresponding reduction of precipitation in those areas.

Indeed many computer models have predicted increases in precipitation, as the Earth worms = increased evaporation … .

Now, the reality: The Globe, and particularly the northern hemisphere, has been experiencing severely COLD winters for the past two or so years. Check out Europe and Asia. It even snowed in Baghdad - first time in recorded history. It isn’t just precipitation - it didn’t rein in DC …

Obviously, it the big scheme of things, this too maybe an aberration, but to suggest that it is a direct consequence of Man-Made Global Climate Change would require the repeal of the fundamental laws of physics - this episode soaks up an enormous amount of energy, thermal energy, that will have to be replenished, and it ain’t going to be by man …

I’ve reached the conclusion that the Man-Made Global Climate Change is a hoax - about two years ago, and since then I found not a scintilla of scientific evidence that would make me doubt my conclusion.

I’ve watched the east coast lock up for decades every time it snows- you’d think they’d learn to have some infrastructure and a plan? This year IS setting records for depth, and may indeed be caused by change- but snow is still a “natural act” that easterners never learned to design their cities to deal with.

Or perhaps when it snows people should stay home. Sometimes it is just better to repect the weather. Only a fool stands against the wind.

Sheesh. As I’ve noted elsewhere, global warming puts more energy into the weather systems, which leads to more variability, and of course more moisture in the air. Also, the shifts in the jet stream, as peter notes and dismisses, as well as Gulf Stream currents can completely derail “normal” patterns of weather in a given area. London has temperatures near that of Boston despite being as far north as Newfoundland, because of the Gulf Stream. If it shifts due to global warming (a likely prediction), then London reverts back to the Little Ice Age. Does that mean global warming is wrong? No, because it predicts changes overall which average to being higher temperatures. And peter, just because you disagree, or even if the thousands of climate scientists do happen to be wrong (unlikely, but possible), that does not mean it’s a “hoax.” That suggests active fraud, which means you are accusing an awful lot of scientists of creating fraudulent lifes’ work. Occam’s Razor cuts that to ribbons.

” …global warming puts more energy into the weather systems …”

    Fundamental physics …

” … this episode soaks up an enormous amount of energy, thermal energy, that will have to be replenished, and it ain’t going to be by man …”

And yes, there is fraud aplenty with this hoax - the science has been cooked - for decades. Unfortunately there is also ‘plausible denyability’ aplenty, so I doubt that anyone will be prosecuted for the real crimes.
