Because, Americans, you’re too small to matter.

Perhaps you should all get together and change that.

Bail out Main Street and let Wall Street go broke.

When Tim Geitner and Larry Summers are whispering in your ear to continue the bail out mess it makes it pretty hard to help out the people you were elected to help.

The problem is that banks are a utility, just like the power and water companies. Without the banking infrastructure, there is no mechanism to compensate those who produce, enable them to pay their power and water bills. And welfare for the non-producers. And taxes. As the sign said on Nixon’s Oval Office wall, “When you got ‘em by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.”

I can’t imagine anyone arguing against this strip…it’s always the same…the rules that apply to ordinary Americans do not apply to the elite, and that’s right or left.

or public transportation or food distribution. Well actually a lot less necessary.

But yes power, water, transportation, food, that is why In a lot of countries think is better to nationalize those (and perhaps loose some $) than have to loose a ton of money sinking them into the elites.

Yah yah I know crazy socialist thoughs… nutty nutty

jgcp - not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you saying banks need this? And incidentally, it was Charles “Chuck” Colson who had that sign on his wall, not Nixon.

try getting food stamps…. 22 pages in CA forms cant get forms w/out a (private contract) piss test in NE or KS… (the reason newty took off the table ;kill food stamps in ‘90’s WAS: spaceways and albertsons have only 3% profits… (kill food programs and you kill ALL super markets, living on gov subsidies….).

All civilized nations since the Pharaohs time held food 7 years in storage, Sir ronnie reagan gave all that away. (only gene mc Carthy hollered at the stupidity of emptying the warehouses…._and he was ignored> when the food riots start….you can thank the shortsighted knights of the queen for the result.

The funny part is TARP was the brain child of the Bush administration. Obama is responsible for the stimulus package.
