I solved that problem recently. My cat’s enthusiasm put piles of litter on the floor. I now have her litter in a 10 gallon container. She can get in it without any problem, but the height of the container keeps the litter in it, so no matter how much she throws around, it stays in the container.

I sweep it off the cement floor and put it back in the box. It’s clean, why waste it?
