Mr. Sungenis – not sure if you have discovered Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next novels, but when you provide arcs like this, I want to re-read everyone of them. Thanks!
For the record, this entire week was done at deadline, by the seat of my pants, with no advance planning. I did not co-ordinate Rat’s appearance with what Pastis and Watterson were doing, and came up with “Brontesaurus” about an hour before I produced the strip. This entire week was plagued with writers’ block.
While I was in New York last week, I auditioned for “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” When I was interviewed by a PA, she asked “what happens when you have writers’ block?” I said “I can’t. I have to have a strip ready to go.” Sometimes it flops spectacularly. Other times, you get this week.

kinda strange since the real Q.V. found Jane Eyre “wonderfully thrilling”.

I was just thinking this myself… there’s an awful lot of Pastis going around lately. Not that I mind, of course.

Remember the old saw, “Puns are the lowest form of humor”.
If someone else thinks of it first.

George had better keep an eye on Rat, or the little vermin might drop a Baum on him.

I think that Citizen Sungenis has been wanting to work the Brontesaurus line into a strip for ages.
