Still waiting for a Republican/Fox “news” viewer to explain why switchblade knives, machine guns, hand grenades, etc., are illegal. Isn’t that a serious infringement on the right to bear arms?
The Second Amendment is not the problem. Differing interpetations of the Second Amendment are part of the problem. The NRA and the firearms manufacturers are part of the problem. Our obsession for entertainment, (TV, movies & video games) which includes fires, explosions, settling scores by shooting are a larger part of the problem. Our dwindling sense of society, increasing fears and alienation are the greatest part of the problem.
SCOTUS, even with Scalia in agreement in “D.C. vs Heller” affirmed that “well regulated” IS a legitimate consideration and key point of the Second Amendment. They defined that keeping a firearm IN YOUR HOUSE, FOR SELF DEFENSE, is the “right”. Having one to run loose on the street with, without restraints or constraints by the state, is NOT what the Second Amendment is about! Folks should actually read Heller sometime, not just accept the nut version.
Why is it I can’t have a very small tactical shoulder-mounted nuclear weapon, just in case my home is threatened by liberal terrorists? Could some of the usual far-righties explain that to me? Harleyquinn? Tigger? Wbr? cubefarmer? tigerwolf28? Any of the others?
