Does this mean “the mad butcher” (or whatever he is called) is in the neighborhood? I thought he was holed up in some South American village? Why would he return to the U.S.?
I enjoyed the Tabby Angus affair (forgive me Man from UNCLE) however I’m a little disappointed about leaving some important elements hanging in the air. For example whatever became of the commissioner kidnapping? Was he released or do the blackhearts still have him? And whatever became of Jeff Clark, the crooked cop? It would have been nice to have had closure for these elements of the story

Hmm, Oliver succeeded in buying off the mayor. Business as usual in Chicago, though I’m happy that the MCU will now be involved in the search for Annie. Also, Pequod77 has once again shown us why he’s so much the man around here!
I agree with 60sFan and Willy007’s view that Mysta will not turn evil. Mysta’s transformations are rendering her increasingly Lunarian in nature, which gives the character tremendous possibilities. In pointing out that her concern for Honeymoon echoes Moon Maid’s original character, I wasn’t suggesting that she will be rendered simply sweet and good. The original was certainly more complex than this. Yet, I don’t anticipate any “Mindy” issues. Mindy no longer exists. Her memories were wiped by Ghote and Sail. She was in essence sacrificed, so as to serve as a host for Mysta. The body was infused with Mysta’s DNA taken from the wreckage of the bombed car and “reprogramed with Mysta’s personality.” While her original crime fighting was in line with Mysta’s personality, her zapping of Sparkle was not. She subsequently saved Sparkle, Nellie and Junior from Hy Pressure, an important step in her journey toward becoming the tragic heroine we see today..We saw Mysta accept that she was not Junior’s wife and had no family on the earth or moon. Since the shoot-out at Wheaton’s farm she has been transforming in body and mind into a being more and more like the original Mysta. This, for me, is the big picture. She is not conflicted by Diet Smith’s revelations. The fact that she dropped Vera with a baby-Zap tells me that she is still willful and very much her own person. She plays well with others on the film set (unless they crash the set and make unwanted advances) and has a very keen sense of Sparkplug’s sweet nature (was this simply by natural instinct, or an early glimmer of telepathic abilities?). .I agree that it will likely be some time before Mysta is “reunited” with the Governor and family. I do strongly suspect that this meeting will be a game-changer: a dramatic, vital step in Mysta’s rebirth. I find all of this very engaging. Mike brought a dynamic, popular character back to the strip in a way that makes all kinds of future stories possible.
As for Warbucks, he has purchased the services of the MCU to help find the Little Princess. I think this is going to be an interesting and unique story, with Punjab and Asp serving as the wild cards. They have special skills and aren’t shy about using them. What a joyous reunion it will be, should the MCU be successful.
As for “loose ends,” I think Commissioner Rosato was released into a deep grave, never to be heard from again. Clark surely cut a deal for info on Tabby, although Tabby’s high dive act may have rendered that moot. For example whatever became of the commissioner kidnapping? Was he released or do the blackhearts still have him? And whatever became of Jeff Clark, the crooked cop?
