Gramma Evie: Well! That was FUN! How'd I do driving on the left?
Arnold: *
Gramma Evie: Arnold?
Arnold: *
Gramma Evie: Should I let you drive now?
Arnold: Y-y-YES!
Everybody’s sayin that there’s nobody meaner, than the little old lady from Pasadena. She drives real fast and she drives real hard. She’s the terror of Colorado Blvd.
oooh, going to Ireland this summer and these strips are making me a bit nervous as I will be the one doing most of the driving..everyone else refuses except my daughter who will help out.
My sister, a lefthander, took a vacation to the Isle of Manx (UK). She rented a stick-shift car as that is all she has ever driven. The only thing that freaked her out was taking her dominant hand off the wheel to shift! I just gave her that look and replied that every right handed person does that every day here (US)!
I experienced driving on the left, once upon a time, for three weeks or so in Scotland, many years ago. Wasn’t too bad when you could see the traffic coming but going up a hill or on a blind curve with no cars in sight was NOT heart healthy. My body knew I was on the wrong side and someone was going to come over the hill or around the curve in my lane and kill me. You had to fight yourself not to get over in the right lane where your brain KNOWS you’re supposed to be.We’re not even supposed to PASS on a hill or a blind curve, let alone just keep driving in the “wrong” lane … stressful, very stressful.

When I’m with a man (even one of my sons) I would NEVER be driving unless it is such a long drive that we have to take turns.
