re: Cosmo flying. There was a strip, back in June of ’93, when he and Loon were tubing in a river … and Loon mentioned they were about to go over a waterfall. Cosmo panicked — until Loon reminded him they could fly. As they flew off, Cosmo thought, “I almost forgot.” There was no “almost” about it.
I have a few of the old collections, and the birds in here DID fly fairly often. Although the Perfesser did have his old junk car way back when, too. Whatever was funniest on the day in question.

Interesting, have never seen Cosmo in flight. Or many birds in Shoe for that matter.

Yeah, we have seen Cosmo fly. Only rarely. In early strips, I think Loon used to fly upside down.

That’s not realistic! There’s no way he could fly with that heavy tweed sports coat on! A wind breaker, maybe…
