So, what about this report that finds us in an undemocratic state ruled by the capitalist elite? Relax- if you dollars in the right place and it will be discredited in no time!
They can discredit a reporter, or two, or two hundred…but they cannot remove a feeling of injustice, of mistrust or even all out anger that regular people have towards capitalism now.
I forgot to add this.Although I am not as experienced and do not have the ability to accurately see where current events may lead as did the great chancellor, I feel I have a good inkling of what may come. If things do continue the way there are, with growing income inequality, a corrupted SCOTUS, congressional indifference, a weak executive and growing power of corporations & Wall Street, I fear a time of great, violent social upheaval in our country. Wall Street is more powerful than our federal government, and Washington is on their payroll.
One of the most useful quotes I’ve ever run across (unfortunately, I don’t remember the source): “America is not a democracy. It is a corporate oligarchy with a considerable, but steadily decreasing degree of personal freedom.”

Most interesting.
Inre the statement;“inverted totalitarianism aims for the mass of the population to be in a persistent state of political apathy.”
One need only look at our Cable Television and video games.
