There will come a time when Bundy will wish he’d just paid those fees. He can’t leave his ranch and those cattle cannot be legally sold. Even worse if he tries to force another standoff, it will not be the BLM but FBI counter terrorism that comes knocking. He’s painted himself into a corner.
Harleyquinn you need to research the issue. Bundy has been through the courts and lost. He used to pay like his neighbors but decided he did not want to. The land is federal property and has been for a over a 100 years. With a thousand head of cattle he is obviously not a “poor rancher”. Inciting insurrection among the militia loonies is not something that can easily result in a lot of people getting killed. It would be interesting to see his tax return, I suspect they will be able to lock him up for a number of years because of it.He is ripping off the taxpayer plain and simple.
The key words are “alleged”. Anybody can make an accusation, FOX does it all the time. It is in Bundy’s interest to stir the pot and keep thighs going as long as he can. Somehow I think the Feds will prevail. They did screw up trying to take the cattle. They really did not think that through. It would probably be better to audit his taxes closely and throw a lien on his ranch and get a judgement they can use to drain his bank account. As soon as it starts costing him money he will fold.

Ask yourself, Why is Harry Reid taking charge of this action? Is this a job for a Senator? Where is the Justice Department on this? Something isn’t quite right.
