I’d like to see all the anti-Islamic “Christians and Jews” subject to the strict interpretation of Deuteronomy- hmm actually that is basically “sharia” law. Later “followers” of ALL these religions picked up or added what gave them the most power. Most of these laws were picked up by the guys with wheelbarrows following the parade.
My limited experience in life has taught me that most people are basically good. The guy setting there with his wife has not stoned his wife apparently because he wants a solution that does not physically hurt either of them.
The marriage counselor (in my mind) represents politicians (control freaks, etc.) that will do anything to control people.
And every good politician knows that threatening people with their “eternal soul” will for the most part get those people to follow them.
The sad thing is, it works even here in the US.

LLOL!!! Well, the Bible says it (Deuteronomy 22) It says the same thing about somebody picking firewood on sabbat day (Numbers 15, 32-36.)

CF, you can follow it up with Deuteronomy 21:18-21 for disobedient children!
