That’s not a fear, so much as a good reason to not stand so close to traffic. A fear would be that the white van stalks you at night and rips off your kneecap when you’re getting into the shower.

Quite an elaborate scenario.

The hook bumpers are to hook the front wheel of your bicycle in traffic in the dark.

I’ve got tough legs. I’d tear the bumper off the truck!

Or it will cut a corner too close and grab a street light pole and rip the bumper off.

I saw a truck like that two weeks ago…

I wear tough, loose jeans. I’m afraid it would hook me and drag me down the street.

I didn’t realise that the US had “white van drivers”….. in my case they’d be doing me a favour as both knees are shot..Too much praying? No!

LOL. I have to walk or take a bus everywhere and I think thoughts like these all the time. One is the wayward tree branch that is determined to poke out my eyeballs.
