Wow! I am stunned that the Catholic Church would do something so sh!t-tastic.

Ordain women? He will never do it. Suddenly have one of those divine inspirations and fix it so no pope after him can do it eigher. There is no way I could ever be a catholic with the social ignorance they have to endure!

raised a catholic, always a catholic, say some, at least to some degree … i still get chills from sitting in a Latin high mass …. fortunately what matters most is one’s relationship with God but I figured that out a long time ago when a nun took an irrational strong disliking to my older sister because she entered puberty earlier than the other young girls … our mother correctly went after the nun… sorry, i digress, this one brought back some memories

BCS - if an individual ever had to endure the prejudices of some of the other persuasions, Catholicism could be attractive. But, like any faith it’s administered by humanbeings. Bottom line … I think you have it with “ones relationship with God”. PS Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Merkel (the woman) is the leader of Germany and she corrected the Pope in public after he re-instated a British Bishop that believes the Holocaust never happened, (was excommunicated before I believe)and continues to say so in public.. and also why in the other cartoon the Pope is fielding a shoe…

Machado, close but Chans Merkel has only confronted the Pope at this point in reference to Holocaust denial of the Bishop in question. Does make one shake their head though.

HUMPHRIES says: This time we gotta’ a sticky situation on our hands. , No disrespect meant, just a question. Why so many “sticky situations” ? God is omniscient. “Having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things.” , Does make one shake their head though.

DHL, the trouble is NOT with God … it’ the humans who “know” what he’s thinking, yes me included.

I’m glad Merkel wasn’t afraid to tell the pope what he needed to hear (not what he wanted).

God is Mighty and perfect, but not those who interpret His word.
