They should have teamed up with that kid in the far right of panel 3. He didn’t stay home sick even though he’s missing the top half of his head.

And so, um, in conclusion, the Russians were really lucky when the Germans attacked them.

FAST PITCH… Thanks, guys. Yes, the bunt should have made it obvious. When I last taught at a rural school systemin KY 30 years ago, they were playing slow pitch there. In TX, fast pitch was king. Over here in Holland, the American schools play slow pitch, still. The Dutch league is ALL fast pitch, even little kids down to 10 years old.

    Well done, wmac8898, 5/2.

They go into that much detail about WWII? I was 50 years closer. We probably learned there was a war and that America won it.

How will Ms. Brooks assess Rakesh? Will she leave herself open to an official appeal process? How important is this task? I wouldn’t make students present unless all members of a group were present. It’s meant to be a history exercise to see what they know and how well they can communicate it to an audience; it’s not an “attendance” test.

Plot twist question: will Amy take over third base for Gil’s team? Lucky is bound to be academically ineligible for bombing this presentation.

On another note, it’s nice to see two guys sporting “The Monk.”

In all reality , the rail birds at the Milford Kennel Klub Dog Track are not very happy with Luckys Derby pick . He charged them a buck each to rub his head for luck.

Finally, here is this week’s Sunday strip of Mopped Up Thorp. Part 4 of the originally planned 3-parter. I suppose it helps to have a plot in advance, but it’s better if I’m surprised too, lol.
