Actually, ‘fag ’ was a term used in English Public Schools (private) of new entrants who would act as servants for senior boys. At its best it gave them protection and mentoring , at its worst it was open to all kinds of abuse including sexual. This is why ’fag’ IS a term for homosexual. This is not by way of judgement, just by way of explanation And please don’t say that homosexuality is not the same as paedophilia. If you’ve suffered in an English Public School, you will know that there is considerable overlap.

As an Androphilic male, myself; it really angers me when people assume that homosexuality equates with Paedophilia. I know a woman who was the the victim of a paedophile ring in a small town. She was often abused by her grandfather along with other male mambers of the family. Thankfully, she is now a happily married mother of two and her past abusers have been punished.
