I love this one. I hate that America has allowed our (all of our) Constitutional rights to be trampled in it’s quest for artificial safety. We have become a nation of facists.

One has to wonder if people won’t look back on this time much like we look back at Nazi Germany and ask “Why would anyone go along with this evil.” Why didn’t the American people tell the political class – NO!!!!

Don’t get me wrong – I recognize that there is evil in the world and I want it stopped as much as the next person. But I’m not willing to turn a blind eye to the shortcuts we afford “Homeland Security”, The FBI, DEA, etc. They argue they need these extraordinary powers to keep us safe. I’m willing to tolerate more risk in order to fetter the government appropriately. We are under pseudo-martial law all the time now.

And as always when lawyers are involved all common sense and reason will be disallowed.

I sometimes criticize Ted for going over the top — I’m as liberal as they come, but he goes over the top. This one’s right on target, though.

And both sides also agreed to ban: judges, juries, trails and jails. Isn’t the American Justice system wonderful?
