Not all “old” people have $$$ to do Anything with…it is a sad statement about our society…and probably hasn’t changed since ancient times… ;)

If you gave young people the money to do exciting things, . . There wouldn’t be a society left!

Hubby retired early at 62 we now have a mortgage bigger house extra body who works. Found we have less pay to have fun with. Retirement is not what one thinks of travel getting away. Hubby loves his retirement me not.

‘Wifey’ and I are retired, we may not have the money to do all the things we want to do but we have the time and we do things that are important to us. Sadly, that had included providing final care to an aunt and to an uncle in their final days of life. We were the only ones in the families with the time to be able to do what had to be done. But we still are happy that basically, we can decide to go when and where we want.

Edie’s still young enough to enjoy adventure – look what she’s doing. And I’m 76 and leaving shortly for a camping weekend. I checked the weather in Bumblebee last night and packed another set of silk long Johns (I like warmth) but like Edie, I enjoy my younger man (more than 7 years) to share the sleeping bag.

No, no, it’s not about the money. My best friend and I, both about to turn 50, have noted this cruel irony of getting older: just as we’ve reached this point where we feel truly comfortable being ourselves, and are finally getting “good at life,” our bodies are starting to fall apart!
Oh, to have had this kind of confidence and perspective when I was still young and hot and energetic!

And never too smart to be stupid either, at any age.
