And as regards that “sorry” — that’s not a “Sorry”; it’s a verbal dart intended to shield to thrower from charges of discourtesy while wounding the target. So Dakota gets NO points for it.

Today was painful, 60 years later, still painful. My only “problem” was I wasn’t valued at home (I’m not a boy) so: no self esteem = easy target. Took sessions with a therapist (husband insisted) to realize it all that wasn’t my fault. Still hurts, but sort of makes me mad too. Sigh
