that’s why I gave up my US-citizenship when I turned 22.. I living in Europe (double nationality) and was simply afraid of doing something wrong without even noticing it and then I’d be a criminal when coming back into the US… I want to visit without the fear of being prosecuted on entry on something I didn’t even know I was doing… but don’t get me wrong: there has to be a system. It’s just grown WAY tooooo complicated.

The two most complicated legal structures in the world are the US. tax code and the U.S. Social Security act and Regs. According to a Social Security judge. I wonder, does anyone from the rest of the world want to add anything or disagree?

My father had a Masters in English, a Masters in international affairs, and a Bachelors in mathematics. After retiring from the military he taught calculus. He had trouble doing his taxes. There is something wrong with a tax system that is that difficult. It keeps lawyers and accountants in business.

Look to Congress for the complicated tax code. They pass special-interest legislation which helps their donor constituents facilitated by the lizard-loafered lobbying mafia. If you are just a wage slave, you’re screwed.

What’s really weird is if you had a really good tax accountant, H&R Block do your taxes and then used something like TurboTax you come up with three very different outcomes….
