ConservGuy: and yet, he’s far and away better than the alternative. I really don’t feel like returning to the days of yore when I have to start calling rich guys M’lord. But that’s where GOP wants to take us.
The difference is the reason why Obama’s approval ratings are down- 10 points above the Republicans, but still down. When you ask why, the respondent will often site his lack of success in dealing with congress. That’s like blaming Bush for Katrina. Granted, he didn’t do enough to fix the problem, but he wasn’t the actual hurricane.
The problem with those figures is that they are not measuring the same thing. Obama’s approval / disapproval rating is indeed a national one.Congress’s is a national one but a Congressman’s is local. His or her approval or disapproval rate at the national level is completely irrelevant. That is, a Congressman from Texas could care less what people in New York think about him. They won’t be electing or re-electing him. For a Congressman, only people in his own district or state matter.
poll ratings are created by a MSM that gives Obama and the Democrats 24/7 praise and CYA “reporting” while demonizing the GOP elected by the voters! And not every poll agrees on the % ratings……in any case it is like a phone camera snapshot for one moment at most. What counts is Fair election counts…and we have been losing that war every election date.-CPAC “Firing Line Liberal versus Conservative debate” on C-SPAN today in rerun and audience reaction proves that even the everpresent MSM cannot brainwash all the voters. As Ann Coulter said on “amnesty”….why should 24 million GOP voters agree to accept 30 million illegals to vote Democrat tickets????
Yeah, and after watching the CPAC rally speakers, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Hillary will be a shoe in for President in 2016. After all, who can the Neo Cons put out there against her? Cruz, Christie, Paul? Seriously?

The Senate is controlled by Democrats. The low approval rating applies to them as well.
