She should encourage his skills and have him teach the rest of the class how to do that. Learning how to factor polynomials is a waste of time for 99% of the students.
come on teach ( name not coming to mind currently ) you HAVE to be impressed by that. Enroll the kid in a high school level engineering class already, you know he’d love it.
