Our ski hill won’t be opening this year, no snow, and we’re at 5,000 feet and usually have 2-4 feet of snow in our yards, let alone at the ski hill 2,000 feet higher. Climate change is here, not just the geography of Sochi, a beach resort actually with a high mountain backdrop.. L.A. btw, or has much the same as Sochi with San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains.
Ah, snowboarding at the Sochi Summer Games! They should be here in the eastern half of the US where we’re playing real snow games; Snow Shovelling, Car Pushing, Acrobatic Speed Skating on Sidewalks or my fave, Camping out in Dark, Cold Houses. Keeping the prayers going that we keep our electricity on this time. Some aren’t so lucky.
