Comparing an hourly wage employee to a slave is just wrong. First a slave isn’t free to leave, second management isn’t free to beat them, physically anyway, into submission, and third…oh who am I kidding? Same dern thing.
I hung on to full-time work until I was 65 despite increasing physical problems because of the (affordable) health care through the job. I wonder of many of those jobs “lost” are by people like me.
