Ah yes, the so-called bottomless coffee. I’ve been to the US many times, and it never ceases to me amaze me how many cafés and restaurants serve what purports to be ‘coffee’, but is, in fact, some indescribably foul hot brown liquid that tastes almost, but not entirely, unlike coffee (HT to Douglas Adams). That’s why they offer free refills – most sane people wouldn’t drink more than one cup.

Not sure where you’re from, but I became a coffe drinker in Europe, have drunk it it several countries around the globe and fail to see that significant a difference. Certainly, bad coffee is served here, but I’ve had atrocious stuff in many countries. No country I’ve been to has earned the right to gloat.

You all just made me want to get up and make my first pot of coffee……….usually do my toon tour first……..really like my coffee…….half Italian Roast, full lead, half Italian Roast decaf. I make it extra strong so it qualifies as Doc’s World Famous Nuclear Coffee. Then I can drink lots and lots.
