    My children (ages 8-18) and I still play board games together even though they have a lot of gadgets too. I feel like it keeps us close. We went to lunch yesterday and no one had their phones out. “Big brother” would get pretty bored watching us.

    Whenever our giant clan gets together, there are always some board games in action. Quite a lovely time!

    @Boots at the Boar’s …I too use a debit card when there is a machine handy (shops or a ‘hole in the wall’) but can pay by cheque if there isn’t. Not everyone has a bank account but they can redeem a cheque for cash at any bank – very useful.

    I tried this game, but it wasn’t that great of a game, and then when it wanted to download more “games” for me, I reached the conclusion above – this was not something I wanted on my phone.
