Cats really love to monkey around with christmas decorations and it’s just not possible to stop those antics, Plus there is all the hassles and work associated with putting them up and taking them down again as Mel and Fergus have remind us.
What finally made me decide to have no more festive decorations was a disturbing situation many years ago when I fond an electrical cable for a 9 volt electrical converter had been chewed through by a previous cat.
Fortunately the electricity to this device had been switched off at the power outlet, But it was a quite disturbing finding.
After that nasty surprise I always try to ensure electric cables are not accessible to pets where possible.
