One time an older woman I knew told me that she had slipped on the ice, but didn’t get hurt. She said that she must have had an angel helping her. I immediately wrote the following:
Pillow the Cushioned Angel
When walking on an icy pathYou slip and slide and fallBut other than a bump or bruiseYou don’t get hurt at all
There are some special angelsAll soft and plump and strongThey try to keep you safe and wellWhen your steps do go wrong
The leader of this angel bandWho leads them on their wayIs sweet and full of loving careAs she works day by day
They call this angel PillowAnd go where e’er she sendsShe looks for that one wrong-way stepAnd that they try to mend
So when you fall and there’s no hurtYou know it’s not a dreamIt’s Pillow the Cushioned AngelAnd her angelic team
I did that once when walking home one night. All my papers went several ways; I went several as well and ultimately down. Hooray for the Guardian Angel!
I could use a guardian angel myself, but sadly I find this particular theme of “Rose” annoying. Just me I guess. I prefer the themes with Peekaboo. But then again I’m a Crazy Cat Lady and only subscribed in the first place because of her. Whatever happened to her boyfriend Ringo?
My sister worked her guardian angel overtime whenever she decided to climb up a tree, on top of the freezer, or even on the roof of the cars, and you can imagine what it did to my stress levels as a kid.
