As if in 2 &1/2 years people will think about a few New Jersey traffic delays!If these coming years are anything like the past 5, people will be so sick of Barry, the last thing they’ll want is his runner-up cohort continuing the disaster.

Tommy: Dream along you can’t undo the numerous scandals created by this administration by emphasizing one mistake by the staff of the supposed Republican candidate in 2016.

To be fair, if you watch Fox News you never heard about the scandal until this week, and then only about 15 minutes of it. It has been in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and NBC. But Fox has been touting the completely baseless Benghazi, IRS, and climate change hoaxes, but hasn’t had time to criticize Republican bullies using the power of government to revenge itself on innocent American citizens.

Recall election, anyone?

“At least he didn’t allow 4 people to be murdered in Benghazi.”Oh wah wah wah. Four thousand Americans, and who knows how many Iraqis, died chasing Weapons of Mass Destruction that didn’t exist. You care about them? Keep whining about Benghazi. Only you and your right-wing buddies in the corner with you care.

You know, I am not exactly a Christie fan but I think reports of his demise are a touch premature.

Again: Bush had the equivalent of 13 Benghazis in his eight years, and the Right’s response was silence. If they broke the silence, it was to act like world-wise grownups and spout platitudes like “stuff happens” and urge the survivors and families and anyone else concerned to “get over it” and “move on.”

Christie claims not to have known about this before, like, five minutes ago. Yet he was begging Cuomo not to investigate it last month.

And the carrot from yesterday is now a chicken called Ffur. Yet the soup tastes just the same and its nutritional content is no better.

Actual investigation (as opposed to fanciful speculation) is bearing out the accounts of the White House. Now the Right will do what it always does: either ignore the correction, or claim that being proved wrong is proof of a conspiracy.

They sound like the Smurfs would sound if they’d been called Benghazis. “I Benghazi what you did there!” “Benghazi me later.” “Ah— ah— Ah— BENGHAZICHOO!!!”
