I’ve yet to see how Obamacare itself helps that very same person. Oh, BTW, going to have a baby? Obamacare has no way to add the baby to the policy. Getting married? Nope…outta luck. Adoption in the near future? Try again, no provisions for that either.

“I am sorry to have written you such a long letter. I did not have time to write a short one.” — Blaise Pascal (1623-1661) Not a perfect quotation, more a paraphrase. But makes the point.

The key point to this ’toon stands true. Legislators of many states blatant hate of Obama trumps the needs of their fellow residents.

Look up “begs the question.” It does not mean “raises the question.”

The aca will provide very little insurance coverage w very high deductibles to a lot of people. It will not allow ins co to drop you if your expensive to cover. They are the sign ups. They have the most to lose. But there will be many pt kept out of the system not because they don’t have ins but because the don’t have the deductible. Er s and hospitals will be the losers as the reimbursement is now lower and the usage now greater. It’s ins, not free care.

The aca also has many more provisions that will negatively impact care availability on a local level in small dr offices that can’t afford the $ needed to meet the new regulation. Hence not taking the govt offered plan and shunting pts in greater numbers to fewer dr.s. This was not a well thought out plan.

Thanks. But just wait and watch, they’ll attempt to blame that incompetence of Obamacare on Republicans as well…even though Libs own Obamacare lock, stock, and barrel from start to finish.

And Medicare recipients. Well, no need to actually cover those old people anyway, They’ll die off pretty soon, sooner if we stonewall their treatments, Besides, once they’re gone, it’ll be much easier to scam the young people.

    No worries … we’ve got a plan.

Wow, you’re going to burst an aneurism. Breathe. Count to ten. You’re going to injure yourself by just cursing and yelling at those you oppose without any facts to back you up. Oh, wait…you’re just being a typical Lib.

IF Obamacare was going to be SUCH a huge success, then WHY the need to LIE about it for over three years to get it passed…in the middle of the night….without reading it? If it was THE best thing for America…then it should’ve just passed on it’s own merits without the deceptions and lies.

Once again you admit The ACA is crap and broken by repeatedly calling for a Single Payer Health Care BillAre you aware the ACA screws the Poor People? How many poor people do you know that have $4,000.00 to pay their Medical Bills? You see, they bought the cheapest Bronze Level Plan which has a $4,000 deductible. Since you are math challenged, let me explain what this means. This means The poor person must pay $4,000 of their medical costs out of their own pocket before their insurer pays one cent of their medical costs.. Oh, News Flash! The subsidies only cover the premiums and nothing else. This news is coming: Poor Family that bought Health Insurance via healthcare.gov now bankrupt and homeless because they could not pay their $3500.00 Medical Bill because they have a $4,000.00 deductible the must pay the first $4,000 of their Medical Bills.I’m sorry you bought President Obama’s snake oil pitch The ACA means Affordable Health Care for all as you will soon see The ACA is not affordable for all.

If the subsidy is covering their premium why are they on the bronze plan? If it is being paid for by the government they should get on the Platinum Plan. The only subsidy I am getting is being taken out of my expected taxes. I am on the silver plan that includes 5 dollar doctors visits. It is a $700 dollar a month plan (much cheaper than my employer provided plan before I was laid off and a whole world cheaper than COBRA) I only pay $60 dollar a month and expect no tax rebate as it is being spent on insurance.Life saver for my 5 member family.

If my family situation changes I need to take it up with the insurance company not Obamacare, If my financial situation changes where I may not make as much as expected in taxes I take it up with Obamacare using the same sign in info I used to sign up.

Why is this so hard to understand?

The taxes I am speaking of all right now the expectation of taxes. Any changes are a change to the expectation. I already have my expected tax bill for all of 2014. I have already declared my expected withholding. If I make too much more than my expectation I will have a tax bill that I need to pay in 2015. No one else’s taxes are going toward my insurance.I am labeling my withholding for taxes as this is the law. I have already declared all the money my family is expected to make in 2014.

“Where is this money coming from and why are you labeling it taxes?” This money is my family’s income. It is coming from my wife’s and my employer (not the same source) A percentage of it is being withheld for the purpose of taxation. I don’t think this is a very complex concept.

“And will that be the doc you choose or Obama?” Blue Cross is pretty much accepted everywhere in NC. I can keep my family’s doctors. That is Pediatricians for the kids and General Practice for my wife. I can see specialists for $10 copay.

The money has not been made. It is my expected earnings for 2014. Since the IRS can figure how much I expect to make they can figure how much I am expected to owe. They also figure in how much I plan to withhold. They subtract what I am expected to owe from what I am expected to withhold. What is left is applied to my insurance as a credit to my insurance company. Blue Cross. They gave me about 20 choices of plans starting at a Platinum plan. Several Gold Plans Many silver plans and a bunch of bronze plans. The plans came from different insurers at different costs with different benefits. I was able to see the prices both with the credit applied and the full cost. I picked one with affordable copay and a reasonable deducible,

I had to make payment arrangements with the insurance company. When I called them they already had me in their system.

“i am having a hard time with you just saying that they will take it out of what I already owe? That sounds more like a tax break then an “expected tax” in that it is money you just use instead of handing it over to the government. That is why I did not understand”

I think your difficulty in understanding is because of so much future tense. If nothing changes in 2014 from what I reported on the healthcare website my 2015 taxes are already reported to the IRS. If I get a higher paying job or earn some kind of huge bonus I need to report it right away because it may affect how much I am paying in insurance. Otherwise when I do my taxes in 2015 I can get a bill for the difference from the expectation.

Changes in my life that can affect my insurance like a new baby is handled through the insurance company,
