People might not come right out and say it this way, but that’s the way it’s viewed. “It’s our turn.” Results be damned….

I so hope you’re right, Tigger.

It’s also a matter of identitarianism – identifying with someone because they’re the same race, gender, etc. This is, of course, stupid. But it’s very pervasive. Tribalism always is.

Here is a small section of a satire I recently read
“The Candidates are walked into the room, they walk proudly, if not willingly, two are exactly 6’2.53798, the perfect presidential height. Their steps parallel and uniform, glowing with leadership. Suited eloquently, hair in a perfect style and with eyes that sparkled like diamonds and beamed leadership. Candidate D had skin the colour of beautiful copper, that seemed and as a matter of fact did sparkle in the light. R was a pale and metallic grey, much like many of its supporters. Behind these glorious contenders was the runt in the back, unfit for leadership with inferior DNA, standing at 5’7, suit not perfectly pressed and indeed not walking in lockstep.
All are real Americans. D candidate engineered from real american DNA, carefully taken from every ethnicity to prevent any discrimination, It would not be fair to minorities otherwise, every week carefully switching genders so as to keep things representative.
R candidate being the first corporate candidate in history, given body by a cloud of nanobots. Now not having a central processor means no independent thought, as well as erroneous calculations, but even that wouldn’t help much for its positions. Finally the pipsqueak, clearly unfit for office is only 16 ethnicities, Not carefully engineered by any company but instead coming from the womb. She does not walk parallel in step, and would you believe it once stumbles on the walk to the center podium. A disgrace clearly, insulting our progress to representing the total population"
In truth it appears that the favored strategy of policy entering election is a series of vague promises (Nobody wants the economy to crash, but what will help it and what a good economy is are subjects), within the soupy mess of what may on the given trend may simply become “I will make good things happen.” You see a rise of the campaign of the person, and as a result a strongly superficial election. Sadly this has strongly anti meritocratic ends, as intellectualism is generally frowned upon according to most polls and as a result incompetence becomes a desirable trait for leadership

I don’t want to see Hillary run in 2016 for a variety of reasons, but maybe the Republicans will run Sarah Plain and Small, meaning the field is open for the Democrats to run a paraplegic chimpanzee and beat her?? It would be nice to get over 2014 before thinking about 16 and whether EITHER party can come up with a truly qualified person, male or female.

We could start by not supporting ANYONE from either party that is a known, proven liar. That would eliminate a lot of the names commonly mentioned.
As far as Hillary goes, she will never be president. None of her records are sealed. And she has said and done some truly atrocious things. And yes, boys & girls – there is video. And LOTS of it..

Hillary is a far cry from “inept”!I believe that she was the driving force behind Bill’s political success.I had the privilege of meeting them both, and while driving in the motorcade to the North Little Rock celebration of Bill’s election, I had the opportunity to listen in on the conversation among her press corps. There was an anecdote about her having told the staff to place the campaign posters anywhere they could, but they were to place ALL OF THEM somewhere. They laughed about the fact that when they were down to one poster, they hung it over a cow in the pasture.Don’t underestimate this woman. She deserves, and has earned, respect.,Anyhow, “What difference at this point does it make?”

So Obama hasn’t done ANYthing huh? So CONgress has nothing to do with government, is that what you’re saying? Republican obstructionism in the Senate and a House that voted 47 times to repeal his signature legislation has NOTHING to do with the lack of governance of the last 5 years? That ONE PRESIDENT is ALL that stands between the people and the laws we wanted when we voted for him? That his election was not the hard-fought battle for what we thought was right, but merely us liberals saying it was the black guy’s turn? That the LANDSLIDES of 2008 and 2012 was just America’s way of saying “Let the nice boy over there have a turn?”
Sorry Ted, you just lost a subscriber for either your sheer stupidity or your total lack of cognizance of history
Oh, and HERE is the list of accomplishments:http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/11/23/1257892/-Obama-accomplishments

WTF? People don;t dislike Palin because she is WHITE, we dislike her because she’s an inept, lying half-term politician who can’t think before she speaks. If she had even half a brain she’d be dangerous.

If Harlequin weren’t such a clown and an obvious troll I might deign to respond to his post(s). It is a waste of my time..Let me just say that from my interaction with the two Clintons, I believe that Hillary is more perceptive than Bill in the political arena – and that she has accomplished more behind the scenes than anyone is able to comprehend. .Having viewed the documents proposed for a Universal Health Plan proposed during the Clinton Administration, I can only say that she was defeated by “Big Pharma” and “Big Insurance.” The U.S. citizen would have great health care today if her proposals hadn’t been blocked by the monied interests..Other trolls (who know who they are) post irrelevant comments only to present themselves as knowledgeable.

Somebody didn’t get the message:.I do not respond to trolls as it is a waste of time. .Anything a harlequin has to offer is meant only to distract from reality.
This troll was Number Three on my list, started about a year ago and last updated on September 13th with the addition of backlash! It helps me recognize those who are here only to disrupt intelligent discourse. Their posts do not earn response from reasonable people desiring reasonable discourse.
