So some government entity wants to talk to Llewellyn, but doesn’t want to tell him what it wants to talk to him about or where they want him to talk about it with them? This is gonna be good!!!

I was thinking more of Kafka’s “The Trial” in which the person is tried by he knows not whom for he knows not what. VERY unsettling.

Every once in a while, you run into an older cartoon that’s just as timely now as it was when it first appeared

    Or, even more so.

…and this is WHY Llewellyn is the way he is. Things like this happen to him.

Nabuquduriuzhur said: “The reason was so that combatants wouldn’t hide among civilians like spies or the muslims do.”

Are you equating all Muslims to spies and saboteurs? If not, you might wish to clarify your comment above.

Llewellyn is a citizen of Greater Llewellyn, not the U.S.

Given that the strip was written during the Bush administration, this is about their prosecution of the war on terror, which really wasn’t that unlike the current president.

Oops, that should be Greater Llewellynland.

I’m not sure if the strips reprinted here have gotten to the point where Llewellyn declared his home to be an independent country. Then again, Dana might not be repeating them in the order they were originally written.
