I used to have a dog in Wyoming that behaved in snow like a porpoise in water. Down in one place and up in another. You can do that in 3 or 4 feet of snow. :)
When we lived at High Lake in Alaska we had a pair of fox for neighbors and they liked to slide down a hill. Where they slid looked like a luge track with a trail going back to the top of the hill.
My dog Penny absolutely hates snow. We had one small snowfall so far this year and she walked under the eaves of the house to a small tree which protected the ground from snow. She did her business and then scurried back to the house.
I agree, it’s nice to get the notes from Lynn — thanks Night-Gaunt49. It does seem the parents could pay attention to what is really going on before scolding the kids, or at least ask what really happened — but that wouldn’t be nearly as funny.

It does seem cruel and the kids should know better. But Farley does enjoy it. Oh well go figure.

jonesb: Otters do it too. In the summer, they make slides on muddy banks (or make them muddy by using their fur to carry the water).
