Ellie you should get paid for this. However it’s good practice when April comes along. Motherhood is not for your Ellie.

-There is a long-running theme in the comic strip by Elly that the children do things intentionally in order to upset her-For the child’s viewpoint on this, you may want to take a look at some of the recent Doonesbury strips featuring twins and their working mother….

My aunt used to use sign language with her small children. To the point that when she would say goodnight, she wood sign goodnight, and then say she was turning the light off and sign it. My mom likes to tell the story of when one night, when my aunt was putting her child to bed, he started crying. When she asked what was wrong, the child gave her the sign for the light, and my aunt was able to determine that the child wanted the light left on. Kids will tell you what they want, but only if they know how!

-I can see why some parents just can’t cope — especially if they’re on their own-Tragically the initiating point for many cases of physical abuse of very young kids

Kids have the right to be unhappy just like you and me. We can talk about how we feel but kids don’t have to vocabulary nor the cognitive ability to express themselves so they sometimes cry.

potrerokid1532: I don’t know how old you are, but I suspect well under my 80. Adults were making those mistakes when I was in school too. What is your point? That public schools should be abolished and have education only for the rich like in the 18th century? That is a heavily promoted party line these days. I ran for Texas State Board of Education to improve things. What are you doing?
