Mind-blowing Elation: I hope I get to use this expression at least once in my life. I wish my desk was next to Tony’s.

Agnes is all of us. We are probably happier than we think we are, if we ignore the adverts on TV. We can’t buy our way to happiness, but we can make up our minds to stop letting every little thing send us into a fury.

If I could curl my hair as easily as Agnes does; I’d be happy. But even one curler would be one more than I could use.Or maybe not, because I think Agnes has only one hair stuck in that curler. I think I might still find one…maybe behind an ear.

Love all the comments on this. I was going to say I get mind blowing elation from them but they aren’t quite THAT good.

I really like this, too. I lost my job at the beginning of the recession and couldn’t find another, but we were doing OK because we’d been planning on me winding down. But during the depths of the recession my husband lost his job. We had two previously-well-employed friends on the verge of losing their homes for the same reason, and I admit I was terrified. I finally readjusted my expectations of what my life “should” be, began mentally scouting out viaducts to live under as the worst-case scenario, and became very peaceful. After eight months my husband found a very good job. We incurred some debt along the way, but we were extremely fortunate. I have not lost the "adjust your expectations’ lesson, though. It was invaluable and goes along with the “maybe you ARE happy” lesson.

To wish or not to wish. If to wish, then what to wish? And to wish well or at least worded well..It has been said wishes, if granted, come with consequences. To you or others..So……? … What are we wishing today folks?!
