The 50s TV show with George Reeves featured a couple of episodes which showed that Clark Kent had a secret closet in his apt. full of Super Suits. I always found that fascinating as a kid, because the comic books tended to emphasize how he wore the suit under his street clothes. Changing in a secret room was more like Zorro.
I always get a kick out of the occasional news story about someone burglarizing, carjacking, or robbing a guy who turns out to be the local police chief. Or the hotel burglar a few years ago at a cops convention.
Reminds me of the blurb that a guy, hanging his expensive coat on a hook in an expensive restaurant, left a note on it that read, “This coat belongs to a champion fighter, and he’s coming back for it.” When he went to leave, instead of his coat he found a note that read, “This coat was taken by a champion runner, and he’s not coming back with it!”
