I do Believe that Guy lives close to NC. By the way, wrapping paper is non-recyclable because of the ink. I’m wondering if toy cardboard boxes is recyclable.

Howard Morris – aka Ernest T. Bass – was also prolific in voice work, maybe most notably as the Gopher in Disney’s Winnie the Pooh specials. It struck me from memory once, and I checked – he also voiced the rock singer “Jet Screamer” on an episode of “The Jetsons”.

I’m glad your heart is so warm. I just hope you don’t have kids who might warm your ears for leaving them a dirtier, hotter world. Not your concern, I understand.

Aaron Ruben produced the Andy Griffith Show, but his first TV association was with Caesar’s Hour, the program that starred Sid Caesar and featured Imogene Coca and sidekicks Carl Reiner and Howard Morris, which is how Morris eventually turned up as Ernest T. Bass.

Are you saying Hal Smith was a drunk like his character but recovered? Or that Otis was recovered by the time of “Return to Mayberry”?
