^End of fiscal year in 2009 (last full Bush budget) public debt was $11.596 billion. In 2010 they started counting the war costs and end of FY 2010 debt was $13.561 billion (largely still attributed to “Bush budget spending” actually counting Afghanistan and Iraq costs.)
As all the right are complaining we’ve only had continuing resolutions, which limit spending, the increases ARE still the result of spending levels under “W”.
