Ehud Barak (whom I don’t always agree with, but DO RESPCT) pointed out this morning that it’s what is done behind closed doors, in order for Iran’s leaders to save face, NOT what is done in public that really counts. Barak is a military man with valid skepticism on issues, but NOT intractable idiocy. We need an agreement, and we need those “veiled PROMISES”, not merely threats, to make it work. Peace is the answer, which Mr. Barak recognizes, and more wars are not “safety” for Israel, or anyone else.

I was really hoping that there would never be an agreement and Iran would keep on enriching uranium and finally make a bomb. Or else we could have just nuked them. That would have been fair. Anyone who threatens to make a nuke gets nuked so they can’t nuke anyone.

How can we kill thousands of our young people and destroy our economy if other countries refuse to be unreasonable?

Absolutely. Little Nemo Rocks!! Winsor McCay is one of the greats. His page design for his full page comics is spectacular, his lovely fluid line just drives me crazy, his draftsmanship is impeccable, and his use of the frame is positively PoMo. (He was also one of the pioneers of animation — check him out on Utube.) I also like George Herriman a lot, but McCay is prettier. Another really good page designer is Herge, who drew TinTin. I suppose these are all ancient history now.
