The echidna shoehorns just aren’t selling this year

Oh, there you are… shoehorn!

Hmm. Plastic shoehorn vs. complicated construction out of tiny building materials. If I was Gretchen, I’d appreciate all the effort that went into the making of it. Monty obviously does not realise the message he is sending to her.

Okay, Gretchen, just stuff it into your purse and say nothing. Even Monty will get the message. Poor schmuck….

I can see Monty kissing the platypus on the beak and even putting it to bed, just for the slight chance that Gretch might have tested it with her own shoes first…

On the other hand, Gretch can’t just put that rollercoaster on the shelf for her friends to see and ask about. I guess she will get rid of it , then tell Monty that it fell down and broke. Well, at least she has a year’s supply of toothpicks… on the slight chance that Monty did not use them first, of course.

But the Monty we know would not buy brand new toothpicks to make a replica, even for Gretch. Can you imagine him saving every toothpick in a drawer all year long, just to build his intimate gift?

Not the New Jersey Jet Star, was it?

Why do I feel that the Platypus is pulling Monty’s sweater? Is this story going somewhere?

I can see the person in the returns department lookingon in amazement when Monty brings back the platypus.….“Sir..exactly what the hell…..is that?”

My first thought was the same as Taz Devil.Yes folks, Downunder even the cute Platypus is poisonous.The males have a venomous heel spur.
