Obamacare is working fine. Healthcare.gov still has problems, but any state with any sense (except for Oregon, who made the mistake of relying on the private sector to do their web site) is doing great. California, Colorado, and Kentucky are showing what this is going to be like by next year for all of blue-state America, where there will finally be a free market for private health insurance. And red state America will follow suit once they realize that they’re losing their hospitals and businesses.
The rollout is not the law. The law is not perfect but it is placed on a firm foundation upon which repairs and remodeling can occur. I read where one conservative said, “no one hoped for a failed presidency.”That author does not recall the first words out of McConnall’s mouth after the election in 2008 was that he would work to make Obama a one term president.Over half of all of the filibusters EVER used in our Congress have occurred against Mr. Obama.The Dems set the precedent for filibustering nominees, but the Republicans broke all records for doing so in their effort to keep Mr. Obama from “contaminating” the judiciary third branch of gov’t. They obviously hoped that no judge would be nominated and when/if they won the Presidency in 2016, they would have hundreds of seats they could fill with people who are as conservative, religious, and dogmatic as they are.The hole in that ship was caused by Republicans who were willing to see the passengers and crew drown rather than allow this president to reach ANY destination of policy.I am very disappointed with our Presidents failures, but I am furious with the Democrats and Republicans in DC and statehouses across the nation who have put party first and American citizens last, well behind donors and extremists in their bases.Moderates MUST step up and vote in greater numbers. We MUST attend caucuses where these too often flawed people are being chosen and speak up when we see a fool elevated above the competent and educated choices.Respectfully,C.
Hmm, propaganda vs facts. The ACA is finally getting straightened out, after a couple months on line, where you have to go to find the real bugs. In another 3-4 months, things should be working well, and people should be saving, and the insurance agencies advertising to get those new customers, will be doing quite well.
Now about comparison: It’s soooo nice that the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld plan for Afghanistan and Iraq saw an end to combat in three weeks, Iraq and Afghanistan paid all costs, no U.S. Troops were killed or wounded, and not a single disable veteran was created.
Intersting the Republican war on the PPACA has fired more rounds (and duds) than a decade of their war overseas.
Ansonia, I agree with your first reply. The purpose of the minority has become to make the majority fail in the next election. That was not the original purpose and it does no one honor or pride for them to be so good at it.If you are so adamant that every nominee made by the President should be blocked and/or filibustered, then you are too much of an extremist for me to be able to converse with you. The majority of Mr. Obama’s nominees to federal benches were peer reviewed and found to be good choices. And I don’t know how you can objectively criticize the man for failing to get things done when so many of his nominees to other seats are being blocked.You will see your side do the same thing when they next have the majority. Four hospitals have closed in one state where medicare has not been expanded under the ACA. Had the expansion occurred, a woman would not have died from burns received in a car accident. Although, it’s interesting that ALL the networks, you know, all those “super libs”, are spending more time talking negatives, than anything positive, on ANYTHING Obama has done, not just the ACA. When they do have to say anything positive, they’re bleeding from the lips they’ve chewed off to avoid that, and immediately follow up with something negative.

As far as believing his words when he says he’s willing to discuss it, I look forward to seeing Republicans respond to his invitation without fearing an attack from their right from the “we don’t negotiate with Obama” faction.My credibility is secure as it is based on facts and willing to adjust when more accurate information is presented.
