As if the things Lukovich lists are actually good and worthwhile things for society. There is no debating with the closed minds of the Progressive Left.
If religion and politics are to remain separate, then legally, nothing should bar all those things…ethically and morally though, things like abortion, gay marriage, etc. should not even be on the table. Note though, I didn’t mention decent health care for everybody.
The people who say Obamacare will kill itself are falling all over themselves to shoot it. So much for having the courage of their convictions. Could it be they know time is running out on their predictions of doom?
“……..f You want to screw around, you pay for the consequences.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That sounds fair — except the guy can’t get pregnant — and the woman has to care for the result for as long as she lives. Sounds fair to me
“Lets just be fair here.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Yes, be fair — remember the Gulf of Mexico and all the opil-soaked birds and all the marine life that we couldn’t see, as it was dead, and at the bottom of the gulf. And BP spends generously on commercials that are meant to inform us of how hard they’re working, night and day, to make this a better world for us.Please – give me a break
“…..women’s reproductive rights all seem to be focussed on NOT reproducing….”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~And that’s BAD? Look around — do you see a lot more people than you used to see? Do you see overpopulation as a GOOD thing? Have you any concept of the meaning of the word ‘exponential?’
OK, DaSharkie, let irresponsible women (and men, when they can be found and forced to pay) pay for the consequences of unprotected sex and unwanted pregnancies. But EVERYONE has to pay the resulting welfare costs.
“Your post seems contradictory. People who don’t like obamacare are trying to “shoot it” yet they don’t have “the courage of their convictions”? What does that mean?”
It means they want to believe it will fail, they want you to believe it will fail, and just in case they are wrong, they are going to hedge their bets with some sabotage and obstruction.
In other words, they need it to fail, but they are afraid it will succeed, leaving them looking bad.
Conservatives are for tort reform, which would’ve lowered healthcare costs. They’re generally for allowing companies to compete across state laws, which would’ve lowered healthcare costs. They’re for lower taxes, which would’ve lowered healthcare costs.
Sadly, Republicans don’t look too good on those points. But to let govt run everything was NOT asked for by the electorate, and will end up costing everybody far more than makes any sense.
We should not get too caught up in worrying about employers who don’t want to help women with reproductive care due to religious issues. What if the employer is a Jehovah’s Witness? No blood transfusions? Christian scientist? No modern medicine, just prayer? Look out for the slippery slope!
Increasing numbers of signups (even in states where the GOP govs refused to set up anything in hopes of overloading the website), people saving money and getting good plans, that sort of thing.
The GOP has lost faith in Obamacare doing itself in, and they’re doing everything they can to knock it off. I think that was clear to anyone reading and thinking.
Passed without a single republican vote. This is something to be proud of? Maybe if they’d read it, and cooperated in creating it, and not been ordered to vote against it, it might be better. Since you’re all going to use it one day, when you need it.

Obamacare will kill itself and a greater minimum wage will only furl higher prices. Elementary.
