I think all politicians from California are mentally ill and should not be allowed to reproduce…

Loved the scene in “Crocodile Dundee” where the roos are rigged to shoot back at the poachers, even as a hunter, it brought out those who are IRRESPONSIBLE, not " hunters" per se. Gun ownership follows suit.

Mhic: any veteran who has been in actual combat, NOT just an REMF or outside the actual zone totally, like so many of those who are for wars, will never be “normal” by “civilian” standards. But: it’s a learning experience on which to base a different perspective of “sanity”. Most combat veterans, at most times, are FAR MORE RESPONSIBLE with firearms, because of their “up close and personal” experience with same. A lot of REMFs do end up “gun nuts”, as do wannabe cops, like Zimmerman, and many others who feel they “missed out” or were “passed over” (because they were nuts), and these groups have a lot of “Mental defectives” in them.

PTSD btw isn’t “crazy” in causing folks to do violent things, rather, ti’s other shared, or more dominant anti-social psychotic conditions, like paranoid schizophrenia. A PTSD “flashback” isn’t really seeing something that isn’t there, it’s reliving something that WAS! The movie/TV script scenario of someone in this situation reacting with violence beyond “ethical or rational” is overblown, Just as causing someone to do something against their moral base under hypnosis just doesn’t happen, the “inner guard” does throw on the brakes.

Now, if some idiot takes aggressive action toward someone with PTSD who’s just minding his own business, like commonly in “bar fights”, then the reaction may indeed be violent, but in keeping within the ethic of “self defense”, just as in combat.

WHICH, I’ve actually seen wounded animals, dogs, deer, and bears, react with a PTSD response, and seen people doing the abuse (hunters or just jerks) end up on the wrong end of claws, teeth, and antlers. Injuries of a physical nature, do accompany "psychological " injury as well, in Man, and animals.

No civilian has any need of a automatic or semi-automatic weapon, RPG, flame thrower or such. Women say “The smaller the dick, the bigger the gun/dog”.
