NOT what it says. How many nations have commercial reactors, with or blessing, and why do we keep trying to PROMOTE nuclear energy, at home, and for any of our “friends”, including “mini-reactors” to some pretty flakey folks? Oh, right, the MIC doesn’t have the Soviet Union any more, so somebody has to keep our “Stephen KIng fear factor” alive and kicking, and kicking, and kicking.

And let’s remember that what nuclear technology Iran and North Korea have was given to them by our ally Pakistan in one of the great “whoops! oh, well, what’s done is done” moments of the Bush administration.

The best historical parallel to radical Islamic power is pre war Imperial Japan. How many air craft carriers does Iran have again? Stealth bombers? Even if they got a nuke, they don’t have an ICBM capable of delivering it to the US, & the ‘suitcase bomb’ is fiction.A nuclear Iran would be much more confident about confronting Israel. Pretending the ayatollah’s would use nuclear weapons against Israel is just plain stupid. Israel has submarine based nukes. Even if Iran made a successful first strike, they would be annihilated by the Israelis. The Iranians are ambitious, not suicidal.

Thanks, Uncle Joe, for some historical context. I’d like to see Micheal’s take on this —
