Didn’t hear Martin make the comment, but did hear him come on and apologize for it. Hmmmm, Rush et al consider more insults, and repeating the old ones their “apology”. (Not just to Flluke either) It did surprise me to hear Martin apologize, because I wouldn’t have thought he’d have said something to require it.

I only read the report on this incident from the link above. Having read it I had no desire to hear it delivered. What kind of surprises me but kind of doesn’t is this: I know we’re all trying to be correct but why has nobody commented on what would have happened if the situation were reversed? If a white male media figure had said that about a black female political figure? Social parity means we must agree as individuals that the time is gone for letting the pendulum swing far to the other side, away from the mindset that slavery of humans is acceptable. Parity is “if it’s wrong, it’s wrong, and neither past grievances nor present inequities serve to justify present bad behavior.” Change, yes; bad behavior, no. The poor uneducated people who behave decently do so because they are decent. Indecent people behave indecently, and not their education, their social position, their professional standing or their race makes it smell or look any better.

Went online to see what it was he said. It was a comment related to a text (Martin can actually READ) that related to Palin’s absurd equation to slavery. The airhead didn’t really deserve an apology, but Martin IS a gentleman after all, totally unlike “El Blimpbaugh”, junkie, arsonist to all truths, and vulgar excuse for a human being.

This guy’s comment truly was exceptionally repugnant, even given the low standards of our terribly polarized and divided national conversation.

I read trout’s straight forward comment you chose to twist it into something else.

You are correct that Limbaugh is not part of Fox News. That doesn’t answer the question. Do you believe Limbaugh’s assertion his maid bought all those drugs without his knowledge?

Well, Palin did say in Iowa about borrowing from China to pay for the national debt, “This isn’t racist. But it’s going to be like slavery when that note is due.”.So Bashir is right in one respect, Palin is a world-class idiot. Apparently you’re not a slave when you borrow and use the money, its only when you are required to repay the money that you become a slave. .And then he said, “IF anyone truly qualified for a dose of discipline from Thomas Thistlewood, she would be the outstanding candidate.” Now obviously no one qualifies for Thistlewood discipline, so neither does Palin. It is edgy and borderline but not as bad as those who take it out of context would have you believe.

Bashir is one of the items who Obummer was referring to, when he mentioned His “TRANSPARENCY!” The vileness of this Liberal crew Knows no decency. Bashir can resemble Obummer when Obummer is the same age as Bashir!
