If you didn’t use it it’s because you didn’t try. Calculate the area under your mustache for starters.

Calculus is only partly about calculating things. It is an exercise in 1) learning new algorithms so you can get learn how to teach yourself, 2) keeping track of details so you do not grow up to be a yutz who leaves bay leaves in the stew or sponges in patients, and 3) follow through, so you can develop the habit of actually finishing a daunting task rather than giving up in the middle because “iiiiits tooooo haaaard!” If a person thinks calculus is hard, try getting the phone call where the doctor tells your spouse there is a “shadow” on your spouse’s x-ray -probably nothing - but they need to run a few more tests.

A friend of mine studied engineering in college. The most he’s ever done with it is put a 45-degree support under a closet shelf.

Last time I used Calculus, I determined that based off of Godzilla’s known heights in 1954, 1985, and 1994, that Godzilla 2014 would be about 153 meters tall. From what I’ve heard, it’s pretty close to accurate!
