Christmas brings out the child in Janis.

I always want Christmas to be like it was when I was a kid. And yes, I use the big old bulbs…..

Colored bulbs!!!!!! Many colors! Broadcast them to the sky! White lights at Christmas suck…….

I wonder if we’ll see their step-granddaughter around Christmas….

I think multi colored bulbs look so festive and happy, all white bulbs is boring and really doesn’t say Christmas to me. Christmas brings out the inner child in all of us I think.

I like white bulbs!

Or some years all blue.

Not sure I get Arlo’s response. Is he not a fan of Christmas trees?

Nice cartoon, but I can’t help noticing: Almost every Christmas tree, in every comic strip, has that “X”-shaped wooden base — it’s one of those cartoon conventions, like sweat-drops to show fear (in his great “Lexicon of Comicana,” Mort Walker called those “plewds”). But I have never seen a Christmas tree base like that in real life, ever.

Unfortunately, most women cannot be pleased so easily

if my husband were to walk in with a tree, I’d start crying. Then I would decorate it with childlike enthusiasm. But it won’t happen-it hasn’t happened, yet…

I have been getting real Christmas Trees all my life!!!This is my 52 Christmas and yes my real Christmas tree is WONDERFUL !!! It never gets old!

Was that Janis as a little girl? And if so then why is her hair is black?

I remember going out with my parents to choose a live Christmas tree when I was little. :)

Sure hope we see the squirt over Christmas. I miss them….
