I will paraphrase: hopefully the voters will wake up, research all their choices and consider the fallout if each one is elected, and pull a lever that will benefit the country’s future.
Choosing to vote for a party, instead of a candidate, is no substitute for knowing what you’re doing. (I do not mean to insinuate that you personally do this. I am saying that far too many people choose to do so.)
I do hope that the Republicans can find a candidate who won’t work hard to look even worse than the Democratic candidate. I’m tired of the same merry-go-round of the bizarre.
And wrapping this into the healthcare debate: Be very wary of candidates who say they want to help you stay healthy while feeding you deep-fried butter.
Omigawd. So good advice got Obama nominated and bad advice lost it for Hillary? Seriously? And now “they” can’t run an effective campaign for Hillary in 2016 because “they’re” older?
Any Democrat will win in 2016 because there is NO ONE among the GOP or the Tea Party or both who can win without the votes of a majority of (1) women (2) minorities (3) LGBT voters (4) the Middle Class (5) everyone else. That last category will be an impossible group for the wingnuts to carry because their overall appeal is quickly deteriorating.
The only hope for the Goopers will be for the Supreme Court to declare that corporations ARE people and have the right to vote. Then neither political party will need the public – the richest corporations will win. This is not so far-fetched when you think about it; after all, twenty years ago the idea that money was the equivalent of speech was ludicrous too.
The Republicans have no one — that’s zero candidates — on the national stage who support same sex marriage, which America supports. Boehner promised yesterday to never go to conference with the senate on immigration reform, which America, farmers, deficit hawks, and the business community desperately want. The Republicans cannot elect a president for the foreseeable future, so make sure you vote for the Democrat you want in the primaries.
